Thanks Carol - am I right in thinking you put layers of organza beneath the abaca tissue? I have a design I would like to try this with. I am ordering the journal quilt book after seeing yours! Thanks again
I layered all sorts of different sheer fabrics depending on the colours I wanted. Remember to put a fabric at the back that won't burn with the heat gun - otherwise you get holes. Of course that may be what you are looking for. You won't be dissappointed with the Journal Quilt Book. My complementary copy arrived just a moment ago - it is absolutely gorgeous.
I am so privileged to have one of my Journal Quilts in the book. Page 65 - A WHOLE PAGE!!!! Oh! my how excited I am right now! It's my May 2004 Fritilaria Imperialis. It has photographed so well - each and every stitch!
If I can help further don't hesitate to ask. I am off to gloat some more.
