I painted a piece of lightweight Lutrador with Stewart Gill paints and Xpandaprint mixed with paint and Pearl-ex. Once it was dry I layered it on a background of hand painted, sun printed cotton. I layered chiffon on top and free motion stitched the layers together. I then burnt back the chiffon and lutrador with a heat tool. This is a promising piece. I am going to do some more experimenting with various techniques with a heavier weight lutrador that I purchased.

Thanks Deb. I am currently experimenting for a new quilt. I am not sure this sample will work for it though. I enjoyed experimenting.
