I have been playing around a little more with PSP. You wouldn't believe these originated as the monoprints I did a few weeks back.

It's good fun and the more I play the more I learn. I have, however, been sewing as well. I signed up for a challenge with the textile group. I received the new Workshop on the Web newsletter and there was a tutorial by Val Campbell-Harding. I have loved and been inspired by her work since I started machine embroidery. I also love the idea of her scrolls and lo and behold that was what the tutorial was about. Although it didn't give details on how to make the scroll I have improvised. I didn't follow her instructions either but I did something similar. The paint is still wet so I can't post pictures at the moment but I will tomorrow.
I need to go and find a branch (a small one!) to wrap the scroll around. It's terribly wet and windy here today so I may leave searching for a branch or large twig until tomorrow. I also tried adding Pearl-ex pigment to Xpandaprint and have "painted" a piece of chiffon covered lutrador with it. Once it's dry I will stitch and heat it. Pictures of that later too.
The painter/decorator is finishing my sewing studio at the moment. Hopefully by this evening I can start moving things back in there and get that organised. I hate being disorganised.
