Design from Line drawing

Step 1

I have been playing with lines in Laura Cater Woods class. This is my source, a line drawing. I was just doodling although the source is an outline of a piece of stone/copper art on one of the roundabouts here in Livingston.

Step 2

I traced the design in PSP XI, simplifying it and coloured it using the palette from the January TIF challenge.

Step 3

I applied a couple of filters and texture which subtly changed the design.

A few more tweaks in PSP which gives a promising design.

Step 5

I played around a little more. You can spend hours just playing with simple designs. Remember to save the designs you like it's so easy to play and not save designs as you go.

Step 6

This is the final design. I will print it on fabric and add some stitching.
