"Marie Curie" quilt is finished

I only had a little bit of stitching left to do and get the binding on. Now that things are quiet here I spent yesterday in my sewing studio and I got it finished. I have taken the photographs and printed off the entry form. I just need to send them to the US electronically as someone has kindly offered to put them on CD and mail them for me. There was little chance of them arriving by 5th January otherwise. My friend Debi in Florida sent me a gorgeous fabric postcard on 11th December and it arrived yesterday! I will post a picture later it's so beautiful.

I hope to have some time to myself later today and I can get a label made for the quilt and write the artist's statement and the quilt is complete.

Santa Claus (aka Norman) bought me some new software. Painter 9 which I have just had a few moments to play with but which I think will be very useful and fun. I can combine it with PSP to crate interesting images. He also gave me Kaleidoscope 2. It's pretty cool and easy to use. The above was made in Kaleidoscope using one of my brusho painted backgrounds.
This kaleidoscope was made using a wax resist painted background.

I took the kaleidoscope into PSP XI and played around with different painted backgrounds and filters. I think this turned out pretty good. It's fun to play with these different programs.

The source for this one was a picture I took when I visited Iceland. I plan on importing it to PSP and playing around with it.
This one started off as a picture of my little Siamese cat who had a scarf my friend Maureen gave me for Christmas all wrapped around her neck.

Here she is all wrapped in my scarf - she loves it as I do.

This quilt is amazing finished. I love what you have done with the quilting it has realy integrated it well. What size is this? How did you transfer the work from the PC to the fabric? What competition is this for Carol? Sorry to ask so much but I am curious. your work is fantastic, hope you win! Love Carol T
