Sketchbook cover

I took on board the comments about the scroll. I made another piece yesterday. I thought I would try using different threads and colours. For some reason I am struggling to take decent distant photographs but the closeup ones seem to be OK. I like the colours of this piece. I used some treasure gold on this piece and I do like how the texture of the threads and fabric have been accentuated by the treasure gold. I am going to use this piece for the front of one of my sketchbooks. I may do some more stitching when it is completely dry and also add some beads. What do you think?

Absolutely love the colours - pink, my favourite! The texture is gorgeous as well. Was it exactly the same technique as before, just using different colours?

Thank you ladies. I used a similar technique to the first one but I didn't do the satin stitch embroidery this time and I added little bits of thread over the piece with snippets of chiffon and zig zagged all over it.

The colour is quite rich in real life.
