Gaudi's Windows Finished!

Well it's all but finished. I just have a few loops to make for the top. I have painted and embossed a wooden dowel. I added some tyvek to each end and painted and embossed that as well. I just missed getting it into the picture. I used wireform to attach some of the pieces together, not all are attached as I thought it was too much.
I did a bit more to the aluminium shim since I posted the last picture of it. I decided it was just too stark and so I painted it with silver fabric paint and added some silver embossing powder. Now it looks more a part of the piece than it did before, I think! What do you think? Does it work?
I also stitched some seed beeds onto a couple of the sections, not all as I thought that would be too much. These are grey with black in the middle, gorgeous little beads.
I decided rather than to satin stitch the edges I just used a wider zig zag stitch which is much lighter. The tyvek beads are literally hanging by a thread.
I added some shisha mirrors to the "windows" but maybe I showed you these before. I thoroughly enjoyed making this piece. Let me know what you think of it, feedback is good!

I think it's scrummy Carol - gorgeous colour and texture. I really like the way you have integrated the aluminium. Also like the tyvek beads - I have made some for a medieval project and was wondering how to incorporate them - this has given me ideas.

A stunning piece of work Carol. You did the right thing with the shim, it has integrated perfectly and those beads on a couple of the sections really are gorgeous. Can you remember where you got them from? Its been really interesting watching this project from start to finish. You've certainly given me lots of fresh ideas. Fantastic.
