I hope you had a wonderful Easter. I arrived home to find a beautiful fabric postcard from LaRinda from our LikeMindedArtist group. The printed card is a painting by LaRinda's Mum, isn't it just gorgeous. The fabric postcard is stunning.
It's an absolute treasure. Thank you LaRinda.
My classes finished for the Summer last week. I have two classes Monday and Thursday afternoon. My lovely students have me the most beautiful gifts. How lucky am I? Thank you ladies you touched my heart (again!) I know it won't be long until classes start up again in September - time flies by so quickly.
Speaking of time flying by my Module 4 work is due to be sent to my tutor this week. This module is about processes and different media used by todays quilters. Despite having all these folders full of work I could have filled another three at least! I had to draw a line somewhere and so I have stopped. I love to experiment and play with anything and everything and it has certainly paid off for this module (Module 3 was the same - traditional techniques). Mind you I could never have enrolled for the judging course without having a good grounding in both traditional and contemporary work. I was just waiting for permission to use images of Hollis Chatelaine, Caryl Bryer Fallert and Gloria Hansen recent quilts. All three ladies graciously granted me permission to write about their quilts for my course. We had to chose 3 quilts and those were my three.
Module 5 is a jurying session in May so I have a little time to myself.
Module 6 is the final module and is the judging module to be held at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham. Norman has booked our flights and accommodation already.

Nice gifts. You have done a lot of work on your course. SAndy
Those postcards are beautiful! I like the composition of the fabric one very much.
LaRinda's postcards are beautiful! And you've done an incredible amount of work for your course. I can see why you've been a bit quiet lately, with teaching as well. Glad to hear from you.
Its great to see you back hope you had a great time away. LaRindas postcard is lovely and her Mom is also a great artist..
Wow you have done so much work what a woman you are. Nice gifts to a well deserved Teacher.
When is the show in Birmingham?
Hi Dianne, It's good to hear from you. The show in Birmingham is in August.
Lovely to have you back Carol. No wonder you have been quiet, I think I need to take a little blogging break to clear the decks a little too.
Hi Carol - your mountain of samples puts me to shame! I think that this happens when there is no upper limit - but I'm sure that all you have done will be put to good use. At leas we're heading for the home straight now. Look forward to seeing you again at Jo's.
