I had a lovely evening teaching yesterday. The Balerno group are lovely. They seemed to enjoy using the markal paint sticks. I had a lovely drive home. Today I have spent cooking. My pecan and maple syrup bread smells gorgeous.
I have been sketching a quilt design idea that has been running around my head for a while.

This is the basic idea. I used water colour pencils for it. It wasn't quite what I had in mind but it's getting there.

This one is better I think. I did this one in oils. I can see this one in fabric. I need to doodle some more and see where it takes me. I need to go unpack the car and tidy up the studio.
I'm glad the class went so well-not surprised. It's such a lift when a class does. Both quilt ideas look good-2 maybe.
