I had this plain black table linen with a gold satin stitched edge. I thought I would try some paintstick rubbing on these. I could have used a stencil but decided to try a single image from a rubbing plate as I didn't have a leaf stencil that I liked. I could have cut another stencil but I wanted to try a single leaf rubbing. It worked well.
The rubbings are very nice. I need to try it again. The linen will be elegant to use.
ReplyDeletecool idea! never thought about using embossed paper/wallpaper. bet i could get old books from the local store.
