Second attempts at Monoprints

I thought I would try the monoprint technique on fabric today. These designs are very simplistic as I didn't want to spend too much time on design in case it didn't transfer. Just my luck it worked quite well. I use Textil fabric paints for this one. I painted onto acetates as I wanted to try out my new roller press.

I tried a second one an it has transferred really well. The photographs really don't do them justice. I used Textil fabric paints for this one as well.I got some new acrylics this morning and came back and tried this one. I was looking for an impressionsit effect. The picture above is the acetate AFTER putting it through the press.
This is the result on fabric! It's quite good although most of the paint is left behind on the acetate. I used retarder with this but it hasn't helped It seems the acrylic just dries too quickly. The fabric paint was the best.
I used every type of fabric paint with this one. I transferred to paper this time as I was just trying out the press for the first time.

I love your blog!
I have just started a printmaking course so it was a bit of luck to see your monoprints.

What did you use to paint the tyvek? I love the effect.
