Needlefelt Challenge - Purple

This is my piece for this weeks Needlefelt Challenge. Purple was the theme. I used silk tops and silk mawata caps to get teh swirls of colour. I also wanted to try threads on the embellisher and used some mixed purple threads from the Stef Francis range.

I am also a member of the the textile challenges group and this month it is melted felt. I took the heat gun to my finished piece and it melted beautifully. My time is short this week and so getting two challenges from one piece was a real bonus.

oooooooohhhh, this is so cool Carol, I love it. So you just heat it and it melts.....hummmm, I think I'll leave things like that to you, I might burn down my house.
