Here's the whole piece. It's so hard to get a good picture of these pieces, the closeup is not too bad though. It gives you an idea of the end result. It's only by playing that you get more ideas. So just go and play until your heart is content. Don't forget to post your results on your blog.

Skeleton Leaves (revisited)
I love "what if" moments do you? The other day when I was playing with skeleton leaves I thought what if ........ I felted them on kunin felt and melted it with the heat gun. Well melted the piece I made the other day. I wasn't too happy with it when I had melted the felt. The chiffon scarf all but disappeared, I had to be quick. Of course where the skeleton leaves were it didn't melt. The bits around the leaves did and I heated the felt for a while until it all but disappeared. Most of the felt that was left behind is held together with the metallic thread. It needed a little something else and so I went over the whole piece with treasure gold. I think it has given it a gorgeous look. I think this would make a gorgeous book cover. What do you think?

Gorgeous Carol, it would make a fabulous book cover
This is gorgeous Carol - I wish I had more time to play. I'm having a go on my friend's embellisher at the weekend and am thinking of giving into temptation and getting one myself! Have you bought any books on the embellisher?
Absolutely wonderful!
This is amazing carol. I love it.
It would make a lovely book cover Carol. I can't wait to have a go. I can hardly believe the skeleton leaves don't burn away?
Fantastic Carol, as is all your work.
I agree with all, it is gorgeous, as always...
It looks old and fragile.. Love it...
Hi Ladies,
Thank you so much for your kind words. I can see progress being made as I continue to experiment with the embellisher.
Hi Leanne,
I bought Myfanwy's book a little while ago which got me started. http://www.winifredcottage.co.uk/
I have just ordered Maggie Grey/Val Campbell Harding's new book on the embellisher which I can't wait to receive. To order the book:

To check what to expect from the book:

Thanks Carol. I ordered Maggie Grey's book (even though I don't have an embellisher yet!) - it's great! Lovely pictures and lots of ideas. I had a play on Saturday and am off to treat myself and order a Pfaff embellisher now!
Leanne let me know how you get on with your Pfaff. I loooooove Pfaff machines and had a look at the Pfaff embellisher at the craft show last weekend. I didn't look too closely as I didn't want to get tempted!!!
