Time to take stock

It has been an interesting couple of weeks which has made me stop and think. The result is I have decided it's time to take stock of what I do with my time. Although I have enjoyed the challenges I have taken part in recently they are eating into my time, time I should be spending on course work. I need to focus on these courses I am doing for the time being and so I have removed myself from some of the groups I was a member of. It's not fair to take up spaces on these groups when others want to join, especially since a couple of them are closed to new members.

This last week I completed my second assessment for Creative Computing. This is my final "complex image". I used four photographs I took when we visited Lindisfarne and one image of one of my sketchbook covers. I manipulated them Paint Shop Pro to achieve the final image. It has been a huge learning curve but one that I thoroughly enjoyed. I am now contemplating the third assessment piece.

I have a couple of fabric postcards I have to make and will post pictures of them later when they are finished. I am getting to grips with the new laptop and software. Office 2007 is a little different but it doesn't take long to find your way around.

Wow Carol, that does look 'complex'! It must be quite a fascinating experience creating with a computer instead of using 'real life' materials. Well done you.x

I love this picture, it lovlely how it spills out into the frame, it reminds me of an old painting of a Mother and child, just fantastic..
I applaud your desicion to start spending more time on your courses.
You do so much creating its really amazing, with all you have done you have shared and inspired so many. Now a little time for you is well deserved... You will ACE the courses and we'll be here supporting and enjoying to see all the progresss you make..

Suz,

I took the classes at Virtual University earlier this year and thoroughly enjoyed them. Have fun with your classes.

Dear Carol I know what you mean its so easy to get drawn in and then you get swamped down, I have so much I want to do and work in progress yet I've got challenges hanging over me and the enjoyement isnt the same when the deadline is looming. Im almost caught up with them all now and have told myself not to sign up for anymore (swaps) anyway!!! Time will tell. I love your work its so perfectly done and the lindifarne piece is awesome, well done. I love the fabric postcard and love how you've combined the skeleton leaf. Fabulous work, well off to see some more, love Judy xx
