The Artist's Muse

When I visited Carol Taylor's blog a while back I saw mention of The Artist's Muse book. I decided to get it and it arrived a couple of days ago. The first challenge is Mandalas - I just love Mandala's and have used them in my work before.

I am working with photographs and scanned images of peacock feathers for my 3rd assessment piece and have been designing in paint shop pro. I took my designs a stage further and have designed some mandalas.
There are many steps from original image to get to this stage - too many to mention or even for me to remember!
I will print them on fabric and paper to make finished pieces but I am waiting for the fabric and paper to dry as I am using Bubble Jet Set 2000 on the fabric and something new to me on the paper. Although the source for these designs is the same for them all the steps to get to the final design are quite different hence the different colours. I might try printing one on lutrador but I have to treat it first as the image comes out very light if the lutrador is left untreated. I will let you know how my experiments go. The results will go towards my experiments for the next assessment piece.

I have been playing with water soluble paper which is drying at the moment. I will post pictures of the results tomorrow.

Thank you ladies. I am glad you like them. They were very addictive and I designed quite a few. It's a great way to learn the intricacies of PSP. I had a lot of fun.
