Paper Painting

My goodness I came in from the studio to find my package of findings I ordered yesterday had arrived. What a fantastic service. You can find them here. I wanted the closures and rings to put charms on bracelets etc. There were one or two other things I HAD to have like the things in the bottom right - you use these to hang charms on mobile phones etc. I think I will make one for my phone and another for my iPOD.

I spent a little while in the studio this morning. After watching the first part of Traci Bautista's DVD I couldn't wait to play! The studio is a mess but I had a lot of fun painting kitchen paper. Here they are hanging on my frame.
Here are some more. They are stacked so the colours migrate from one to another.

The studio is out of bounds until all these papers dry. The floor is covered and there is painted kitchen paper everywhere! I hate mess and won't be happy until it is all clean and tidy again - BUT it was so much fun. At least I can close the door and walk away! I still have the reverse of some of the papers still to do so that will be a job for tomorrow or maybe I can sneak in later today, fingers crossed! In the meantime I need to go make lunch!

Thanks for dropping by.

Yes it is fun isn't it Carol, just sloshing the paint on Traci Bautista style. Which paints did you use? You have some very nice pastel colours there. Apart from journal covers any hints as to what you might do with your painted towels? I have a whole heap of them just sitting there crying out to be used!

Just think, we used to be able to throw paper towels away! Now there is very little we don't save for art. The papers are lovely. Sandy

These are looking great Carol - I have the DVD as well and plan to play when I have 2 weeks off at the end of Jun (in between puppy sitting!!) The towels look quite big - what type did you use?
