First stop ........ Chicago

Well not really since we flew Air France we had a stop in Paris before we flew to Chicago. We stayed in a place called Glenview at a rather lovely hotel - this is the atrium where we had breakfast. We had a suite which was great as we were there for 6 days - they are all suites.

We caught the train downtown each day. We were so lucky we only had one rainy day the rest were lovely and not too cold.

We met a lovely mother and daughter - Justine and Samantha. They were staying at our hotel and we used to go on the train each morning together and by luck we would catch the same train back in the evening. They were a lot of fun.

I am still trying to sort through my photographs but here is some of the artwork on display in the art in the park exhibition.
This piece was fascinating it is made from the parts from cars - exhausts and the like. There was just so much to see in Chicago we had a wonderful time. We took the elevator which travels at 18 miles per hour to the top of the Sears building - 165 floors or something like that. It was a beautiful day and we could see for miles. It was a great experience.

Hi Carol! I was just wondering when you'd be back, checked out your blog, and there you are! It sounds as if you had a wonderful time and I can't wait to see all your photos. The ones you have here are great, love the art and breakfasting in that atrium each morning must have been lovely. Congratulations on module 4 - what a relief!

Will catch up with you properly soon. xxxxxxx
