This is how the design wall is looking today. I haven't made any further progress with "Circumnavigation" life just keeps getting in the way. However, Mike Perham stopped in South Africa for a week or two to have some work carried out on his boat so I still have time to get the quilt finished before he completes his challenge.

As I look at this quilt I see things which I could have done better and so I may well make another one like this but a little different. It has certainly got my creative juices flowing which is not a bad thing.
Sewing is difficult at the moment as I almost sliced the top of my thumb off when I was cutting bread for the birds. It's still a little tender and I have to be careful not to catch it on anything otherwise I hit the roof :))
Thank you for dropping by.

Both quilts are looking great. Why is it that when you cut your finger or thumb it is always that one that you manage to catch? Ouch you really made me wince thinking about it.
The quilts are lovely but poor thumb. My DH did that-ouch. Be sure to take care of it.
These are just beautiful. I love the colors. I can't think of anything you could have done differently. Take care with your thumb, OUCH!
Hope the birds appreciate your sacrifice! Those quilts are amazing - all those points on Circumnavigation and the larger one reminds me of a lovely kaleidescope I had as a child. I wouldn't know where to start such a complicated design, and I can't see anything on it which could be improved.
I agree, I sure hope the birds appreciate you. Please be careful.
I love your quilts.
Ouch!! Do be careful Carol(shudder).
The quilts are looking really good, hope you get time to finish them to your satisfaction - and make another of course ;0)
I love the beautiful colors!!! You did a great job.
Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts. The thumb is healing although not as quickly as I would like. It was worth it seeing the birds enjoying the bread - they are well fed birds I can tell you.
