Knitwear

The other day when I mentioned about my sewing studio being redecorated and having to move the knitting machine I thought I would share a couple of the many pieces I knitted on the PASSAP. This is a large coat, it's knitted with a mixture of yarns including cashmere. The yarns used are very fine which means the garment is lightweight. The back is two full panels stitched down the middle - I matched the design exactly when I stitched them together.

This is a closeup of the design - it represents a Kilim.

This is a closeup of the inside of the coat. The PASSAP is a double bed machine, which means true ribs and the yarns are woven together which means there are no "floats".

This is another one which is also knitted the full width of the machine bed. Once again I used the most beautiful yarns including cashmere and cashmere mixes. The design was downloaded from the PC, I use Designaknit software, to the console of the PASSAP knitting machine and then knitted.

Here you can see more detail of the design.
